"Arguing With Myself"

Original post Dated August 4, 2005 reads:
Ok, ...if you didn't know already, back in April on my birthday I went to the local comedy club in Vernon Hills to see a very gifted comedian/ventriloquist Jeff Dunham. In case you don't know or have never seen him perform...please check out his web site at http://www.onastick.com/
During his performance that night you could give him notes or questions for one of his characters, Walter, to read, answer and comment on. Mine was simple..."hello it is my birthday and I am an artist. If you need any costumes designed for your characters let me know." Ok, this didn't get the attention on stage but at the end of the night you could meet and get an autograph. I bought a "Peanut" doll (also available on his site) and went to have Jeff sign it for me...he remembered my name from the note earlier. "So your the artist?" I was excited that this person who has been on Johnny Carson's couch more times than any other comedian...remembered me. Long story short I gave him a card that had my e-mail & phone numbers and he said he'd be in touch. (I'm thinking...he's in California...sure...he's got to have connections for what he needs right?)
Months go by and I get an e-mail...AGHHH! why did I feel like the giddy high school girl all of a sudden?
Ok, gotta be professional... A few more e-mails, phone calls and explanations later Jeff asked for me to work on two PIMP suits for his newest "manager" Sweet Daddy Dee...pictured below. These were requested at apologetically short notice because he is filming for a new DVD to be released in the Fall. Yep, this is it...weird huh? This was my greatest artistic challenge and I was happy to help. After all I wanted him to look good for the DVD right? The first suit is in the golden/green and the next to be shipped out to him on Monday will be a fuchsia/purple suit.
From the hat to the custom painted faux snakeskin shoes and BLING cane all had to be created for this "little man". To give you an idea: the pants have a 9 1/2" inseam and the length of the sleeves is a mere 7 1/2". the shoes are a boy's size 7.
ok...Tonight in Tampa Florida at the Tampa Improv will be his debut in his new threads for the audience.
Check his web site or I will try & let you know when the DVD is available here as well. Hey...here's to anyone taking chances and open doors...It could happen!
Jeff I can't thank you enough for this cool opportunity!
